New Development Manhattan Market Update

First Quarter 2013 had ten new development properties opening for sales totaling 762 units. Projections indicate 58 new development properties totaling 2,432 units will begin sales in 2013. 

While this would be the highest level introduced since 2007, it is still far below the over 8,000 units introduced that year. The average size of new developments in 2013 will be 42 units; in contrast, during 2005 the same number of new developments launched, with an average size of 94 units.
