The Art of Moving

New York, NY – By Charles S. Moore

There are some artists that paint pictures. There are some artists that create a riveting theatrical masterpiece only fit for Broadway. An artist is a person who produces works in any of the arts that are primarily subject to aesthetic criteria. A person whose trade or profession requires a knowledge of design, drawing, wizardry, etc. The etcetera includes moving. When choosing a mover you must look for an artist.

Moving can be stressful for some. By carefully selecting an outfit skilled in the art of moving it will be a relaxing experience. Reputation means a lot. It makes it easy to narrow down your search by starting with a list and checking their record with the Better Business Bureau. Their model is, “Start your search with trust”. A company’s reputation for the past three years can be checked. Another good resource is the State’s DOT (department of transportation). You can also learn from other’s experiences by reading customer reviews in places like Angie’s List and City Search. A mover with a solid reputation will help you narrow your search.

A big part of selecting a mover is finding one that understands your needs and is knowledgeable about the industry. When you call Oz Moving and Storage you will be greeted by an account manager that is knowledgeable about changes in the industry, helpful and flexible to your specific needs, and will create an environment of ease and limit stress. Transferring your cable, phone, internet, and other utilities can be done with one simple phone call to Oz Concierge. This greatly reduces the stress of moving, which Psychology Today magazine says is of the three most stressful parts of life.

Oz Moving and Storage is a full-service relocation company that can accommodate all your needs. It’s always good to book your move in advance, but can usually handle last minute moves (even same day), and it is common for clients to book on short notice, however, the more time you allow yourself, the more prepared you will be and the less likely you are to experience added stress because of it. There are “busy” and “slow” times of the year and month. Generally, the busy months are April through September, and the busy days of the month are the end of the month from the 25th – 3rd. Most leases begin and end on or about the 1st or 15th of the month, and our schedule is therefore busier.

Relax and let us create a masterpiece. Oz Moving works fast and efficient. We do everything from wrapping your furniture to packing priceless art. We move within the tri-state area and even have a long distance department. As a courtesy everything provided into the estimate and given upfront so there is never any hidden costs or fees. [Even taxes, fuel and a certificate of insurance for your building] Like the old saying, “What you see is what you get”. Not only did we master the art of moving, we are The Wizard of Moving.
